No. Forge Free requires no credit card — you can start writing immediately, publish your work, and earn from it. Upgrade later only if you want the AI toolkit or advanced export.

No — your chapters auto-save as you write, with a clear status in the editor so you always know you're up to date. There's no save button to remember.

Yes. When you start a story, you choose its format — serialized fiction, novel, or non-fiction — and FireForge's chapter tools, navigation, and preview adapt to it.

Yes. The AI toolkit — every writing, editorial, cover, and narration tool — is included with Forge Pro and Forge Elite. Forge Free gives you the full writing workspace, publishing, and earnings, but not the AI tools.

Your plan gives you a monthly balance of AI credits, and each AI tool run spends some of it. Most writing and editorial tools (premise, synopsis, chapter analysis, grammar & style, writing suggestions) cost 1 credit; the Cliffhanger and Pacing Analyzers cost 2. Cover art and narration cost more and vary by tier and chapter length — see the AI Tools page in your workspace for current pricing before you generate.

Your monthly credit allocation doesn't roll over — it resets to your plan's amount at renewal. If you've bought a top-up pack, though, those purchased credits never expire and are always spent last, after your monthly allocation.

Yes. Subscribers on Forge Pro or Forge Elite can buy a credit top-up pack anytime and keep writing. Purchased credits roll over — they're never wiped by your next renewal.

Yes — Cover Studio generates original, text-free cover art for your book, then lets you add your title and pen name in clean typography. You can also upload your own artwork instead. Download it, or set it as your story's cover in a click.

Yes — Chapter Narration generates an AI-narrated audio version of a chapter in your choice of narrator voice. Cost scales with chapter length, and you'll see the exact price before you generate.

Yes — every FireForge plan, including Free, can publish to FictionFlux, our reader platform for serialized fiction and complete books, directly from your workspace. No separate upload, no copy-paste.

Yes. You publish chapter by chapter and set each one free or priced — and you can see what a chapter is likely to earn before you publish it.

Yes. Forge Free includes one pen name; Forge Pro includes up to three; Forge Elite includes up to ten — useful if you write in more than one genre or under more than one identity.

Yes, on Forge Pro and Forge Elite. You can unlock a translation for your published work priced by word count, without rewriting anything yourself.

Yes. EPUB export is available on every plan, including Forge Free. DOCX export is available on Forge Pro and Forge Elite. PDF export is coming soon.

When readers on FictionFlux enjoy chapters you've published — whether free or paid — you earn royalties from it, on every plan, including Free. Your workspace shows your available balance, lifetime earnings, and how individual chapters are performing.

You withdraw your available earnings straight to your bank account whenever you're ready.

Forge Free covers the full writing workspace, publishing to FictionFlux, EPUB export, and earnings — no cost, no AI toolkit. Forge Pro adds the full AI toolkit, translation, DOCX export, advanced analytics, and more pen names. Forge Elite adds the largest monthly AI credit balance, the most pen names, and priority support.

Yes — Forge Pro and Forge Elite can be cancelled anytime. You keep access through the end of your current billing period; nothing is cut off immediately.
